【俳優】ヒューゴ・ウィーヴィング ／ Hugo Weaving

1960年4月4日生まれ、ナイジェリア出身。

各国を点々として成長するが、10代半ばに家族でオーストラリアに移住し、オーストラリア国立演劇学院で演劇を学ぶ。1994年のオーストラリア映画『プリシラ』で国内外の注目を集める。エージェント・スミス役で出演したマトリックス」三部作、エルロンド役で出演した「ロード・オブ・ザ・リング」三部作と「ホビット」三部作、メガトロン役で出演した「トランスフォーマー」シリーズなど映画史上に残る大作シリーズの数々に出演している。

主な映画出演作は『Ｖフォー・ヴェンデッタ』（2005年）、『クラウド アトラス』（2012年）、『ハクソー・リッジ』（2016年）など。
